This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 14, 2009:
Eventually we will be able to program GPS to drive for us. We won't even have to think. There was a profound message in Disney's WALL-E.

Help

Assume there'll still be a setting for driving like a jerk, cutting people off, etc.
Wow! That certainly IS confusing!!
Atlanta has a stretch called Spaghetti Junction that always makes my hair stand on end. I never know for sure where I'm going to come out, like a black hole it sucks you into the vortex and spits you out onto an artery and I pull over to the side and Breathe, Breathe, Breathe. That's a hot little pumpkin you have there!
There's no way I'd willingly drive there in that crazy jumble.
This photo was not taken during a traffic jam. Can you imagine? The pic is of LA. I go to SF now and then. No day dreaming or else you wind up on the other side of ??? I don't have GPS, but it would probably save me some time on wrong turns. Cruzing the coast is my cup a tea.
Do you ever cruise Highway 101 along the California coastline?
Laurie,
I live on right off Highway 1 here in California. It's walking distance from the ocean. The Monarch butterflies come here in the winter to eat milkweed and keep warm in the eucalyptus groves. I grew up in the LA beach area which is south from here. I love it on the central coast because the pine trees come down to the ocean. The water isn't as clear here because of the rivers and creeks coming down from the local mountains.
Jeannie - You are 'up close and personal' to the ocean like my sister – she lives in Cardiff by the Sea.
